The Osmio Active Ceramics House Water Filter System is designed for chlorine, heavy metal and bacteria control and provides antioxidant and alkaline healthy biological properties to the water. Please note whole house filter systems are NOT for limescale, please see our softeners section. Whole house systems are usually combined with softeners (either salt or non-salt based) to achieve great results and reverse osmosis point of use system to achieve the complete gold standard of home treatment.
The Osmio Active Ceramics Large Whole House Water Filter System stands out as the ultimate choice for comprehensive whole house filtration. It is specifically engineered to significantly reduce the levels of various substances, including chlorine, toxins, heavy metals, hormones, and fluoride. What sets this filter apart is its advanced technology, using a patented blend of four different active ceramics that treat the water in a unique and highly effective way.
Unlike conventional whole house water filters, the Osmio Active Ceramics Whole House Fluoride Water Filter System goes beyond filtration. It adds antioxidants and minerals back into the water after filtering, while also increasing the water's alkalinity by raising the pH value. Typically, the pH increase is around 0.5 points, although this may vary depending on specific variables.
This system is designed to deliver clean, great-tasting water for the entire house, including outdoor use in the garden for plants and paddling pools. Few filters are as effective as this one in reducing hormones and fluoride. It boasts exceptional bacteria-killing capabilities, creating a bacteriostatic environment within the filter where no bacteria, algae, or fungi can grow. Please refer to the list below for the substances removed by this system.
One of the eco-advantages of this system is that, at the end of the cartridge's life, you can utilize the ceramics to fertilize your garden, improving the health of plants, grass, and soil drainage. The plastic housing can be disposed of in your regular recycling waste.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use this system in combination with a 4.5" x 10" Sediment Filter System as a post-filter for mains tap water. If you are using it with a private water supply, it is advisable to employ two sediment filter systems for both pre- and post-filtration. Sediment filters are typically replaced every 9-12 months or when small sediments are noticed in your glass of water. The crystallizing effect of the system prevents scale from sticking onto surfaces, but over time, small sediment deposits may occur. The post sediment filter system ensures the removal of these sediments. The pre-filter is especially recommended for private water supplies to safeguard the main filter's performance.
Please note: The specific configuration of the cartridge outer case may vary.
