Coldstream filter: Dispose of the Coldstream ceramic filter by carefully breaking the ceramic and discarding the media in the rubbish bin. The plastic ends can be recycled as plastic waste. While some individuals use the media and ceramic for composting, we recommend avoiding it if you grow food due to potential traces of pharmaceuticals and hormones. For the media, it is best to send it to the landfill.
